My name is Amber Williams. For as long as I can remember, I have been writing. It is my purest form of communication. My works speak for themselves of who I am and who I wish to be. That is the power of words. As a black woman, sometimes my words are silenced. With literature, my thoughts are scribed for all to know.

I dream of leaving an impact from the comforts of my own home. Words can compel people to change. I'd like to transport the world to a higher level with my literature. A good writer writes down an idea right when it comes to mind. Whether they wake up from a dream or pull over to the side of the road, a writer will note an extraordinary thought. Then, of course, they begin to bring the idea to life.
Stories contain emotions, thoughts, and feelings that some of us have experienced and can relate to. They connect us to the author and those around us who experience the same. Literature is not just a method of entertainment or a school subject, it’s a study of language and life-- a celebration of the human mind and perspective.
